Who we are

Cabal is a nonprofit contemporary art gallery & studio, formed in 2014 by a collective passion for underground art, DIY, South Broadway & Denver. Cabal’s co-conspirators showcase their art, and work to amplify the voices of underrepresented artists of Denver.

Mission:
To dissolve the gap between those parts of the art world that are inaccessible, by providing a space for alternative education and opportunities, in which experimentation can occur, as well as cultivating a hub that promotes artist viability.

What We Do:
Cabal is something like artist studios, something like an art gallery, a little like a hackerspace – a place to spill paint and experiment, hear local bands and eat hot dogs in an alleyway. It’s a space for the underrepresented and emerging to create.

Impetus:
Cabal Gallery is trans, nonbinary, queer, woman, POC, DIY, striving for accessibility, local, lowbrow, outsider, emerging, and builds community collectively. We are a place in which the weird, unexpected, and difficult or impossible to categorize can thrive.
